Sujet: Use android phone as an input

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Is there anyway i could use my phone as input ??
I have googled but couldn't find anything...
I'm using a Hercules MK4 Console with the according drivers and VirtualDJ edition...
Thing is i would like to be able to load a track from my phone or just any other phone.
I tried using a Red/White audio cable in the input plug behind the Console but couldn't find any way to find.
I'm sure i'm taking it the wrong way and as google is not really helpfull, i hope i'll find an answer in the comments.

Thanks in advance ...

Out of your headphone jack on your phone, to the input of our Hercules. You can't control the music from your phone, but you can listen to it. If your phone has storage, you should be able to use a USB cable from your phone to the computer. VDJ should be able to see the drive in your phone like any other drive, but I have not tried.

After you connected the RCA (red/white) cable to the input of your console, did you press the "source" button? it should work then, at least it works like that in my mk2 and rmx consoles.

Well it works to input the sound (had to change the line from Phono to Line) but what i wanted was to mix it ...

There are various DJ apps for your phone out there, that will help you mix these tracks.

What's so hard about this??

If it's got a usb plugin (which most phones do) plug it into an empty usb slot on your machine or get a usb hub and then it should show up as an external drive, next open VDJ and just find that drive, now analyze the tracks on that drive (which is your phone) and now you can play the tracks from within VDJ..........

As far as hot swapping VDJ is usually pretty good about so you shouldn't crash it.......

Enjoy ✌️
