Sujet: What's next? (VDJ 8.1 and beyond...)

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

When VDJ 8 was released on May 11th this year, we can all affirm that it wasn't ready for prime time. (I will assess that I was particularly stern with perhaps a little harsh on the dev team in regards to a partially baked release.)

However, in the few short months following, we've seen it mature quite a bit to the point where, even though I still keep my VDJ 7 as my primary DB, I haven't used v7 in quite some time and have been using the latest release (or beta) as my primary, which has been very stable since the CPU blazing issue on the Mac.

Being that the latest releases of v8 are not only bug fixes, but packed with new features, what are we expecting for release 8.1?

Here's what I would like to see:

- A fix for the missing expanding/collapsing icons in the folder list
- Ability to play tracks for other rented sources like Zune Marketplace, Rhapsody, etc. (Not a feature for me, however I know this is a huge one for many.)
- Cleaner skin icons for non-high res displays. (The current icons only display properly on retina displays on the Mac, since we cannot adjust our quality settings.)
- BPM in the browser to be left aligned (or the ability to set it manually.)
- Better support for the Denon SC3900 controller

Expecting...not sure, probably 4 or 5 of my ideas hopefully O-T-F POI, they fix marcro_play/record so you can export & reuse macros.
Really Really hope they take my prattlings on PostFX and figure something out

They still need to fix the slip bug(s) I reported back in build 1850 something.

And really really really hoping they don't update 10 things at once, they should just stick to one aspect of VDJ and update more often.

And a biggy, be able to transfer, variable(s) numbers to sliders,
Better VST hosting, (I'd love to really use glitch2 at full potential)

Automix needs some care and attention (the last 6 weeks or so have pretty much spent on time code)

Midi clock implementation

Some things not carried over from v7 (linked video, drag to delete from playlist), clipbank etc.

Like you, I have been using 8 lately and apart from the odd niggle (and 2 restarts) it's been fine!
