Hi All,
I have noticed recently some sound ifcukties when im recording on VDJ through my Hercules 4MX. If i could describe it, the recorded file appears to increase and decrease volume as i play it.
Ive the Hercules 4MX soundacrd option selected, im using proper music files at 256+ and all other settings appear normal. I have the atest VDJ software and Hercules drivers installed.
This has only started happening recently and i have no idea why. Can anyone shed any light?

Sounds like you are hitting the limiter.
Are you using VDJ 7 or 8?
In 8 the limiter cannot be turned off, so the only option is to take more care over your levels and don't push things into the red.
Ideally you should be doing this already, as it's part of being a DJ. Part of using any kind of audio equipment really.
