Hi Chaps,
First post so be gentle :-)
just putting together a new console whats the best way to configure the connections so I can access both VDJ and Rekordbox on the Macbook ?( bearing in mind I will be using this mobile so trying to make everything plug and play without having to remove any panels)
If I'm reading the info right
CDJ 1 & 2 via a separate USB to Macbook = Virtual DJ
CDJ1 & 2 via seperate Cat5 via 5 port hub to Macbook = Rekordbox
presumably with phono's/Digital into DJM from each CDJ
So on my console I will need 2x USB and 1x Cat 5
Do I need anything to the DJM ?
or.................Am I reading the whole thing wrong
I appreciate I will need to change the settings on the CDJ to midi but trying to make sure all the leads are in place
Cheers chaps
Regards
Les

Hi, I had a little go with CDJ200s and virtual dj a while ago. I made this video about it not sure if it's any use to you but just so you can see it's pretty straightforward.

The only thing I can spot that you mentioned is that you won't need a separate network hub, the djm2000 has a 4 port hub built into it. So you'll just need 2 usb cables (or 3 if you wanted to use the midi controls on the mixer or record your finished mixed back to the PC) and 3 cat 5 cables. Two to connect the cdjs to the mixer, and one to go from the mixer to the pc for recordbox control.
Hope that helps.

Same connections on a mac, but you'll need to install the pioneer soundcard agrregator software to make it all work together. And you'll probably need a good usb hub since you might have 3 usb cables.
