I have a shitty little stanton mixer and only 1 sound card in my iMAC
Was wondering what else I needed to buy, and whats the cheapest it'll run me to be able and use headphones and control VIRTUALDJ from the CDJ's and Mixer
i need to buy like a 4channel hercules thing or whatever, cause I have no USB ports on the mixer or cdj's so I use that thing to like link it all? that or whatever right? and thats it?

You will need a sound card with at least 4 in (2 stereo) and 4 out. I use the Native Instruments Audio 6 for my CDJ 100's and a DJM 700. You could also look at controllers and not use the hardware you have.
Either way you will have to upgrade you virtual DJ to a controllerist version (for use with a controller) or the full version (then you can use anything, including timecode).

sweet thanks. Im just trying to get an idea of how to hook everything up and all that, I'm getting a sweet deal here for all this equipment, i figure the only thing i needed to buy was the full version of VDJ and a 6 channel hub like that, eventually to all take mobile and be able to play from my macbook pro
and if you could, give me an idea of whats plugged into what haha, severely new here

Check out this link from the VDj tips channel on YouTube.
It's title is how to hook up Serato DVS, but it works out the same for what your trying to do. Substitute your souncard of choice for the Rane box, and your CDJ's for the vinyl.

There are a lot of other helpfull videos there as well. I recommend going through them.
