I'm new to video DJing - I've done a few gigs which have gone down really well - I've connected my laptop to the venues big screen and away I go..
However, if it's a function (wedding, party etc) and the venue has no TV screen I've tried to connect my laptop (HP Envy, windows 8) to a BenQ monitor and all theat happens is the laptop blacks out.
I've tried every configuration on my laptop (extend, duplicate etc) but nothing is working.
Funnily enough this hasn't always happened - just in recent weeks. What am I doing wrong, is it a setting in VDJ8 I need to check?

Sounds like your video card drivers are out of date.

No, not outside VDJ either now.
And it's a brand new laptop bought in October!

i had a issue like that, uninstall the drivers then reinstall them as they are updated all the time. my dell did this!
