Painstaking!!!! I bought a mixer online from Guitar Center last week. American Audio 14MXR. I called the store and it was said to be still in box in excellent condition. I had it next day delivered. For a week I fought and battled trying to configure it. Just would not work 100% correctly on my fairly new Toshiba Laptop w/ Windows 8 and VDJ8 Pro. After numerous hours with VDJ and AA Customer service it wound up being a 10 minute fix. Whoever had the mixer last loaded the MAC 4.10 firmware and made it hosed to use on PC. I finally got the file from AA and loaded the 4.8 PC firmware back on the mixer. Works great now. Was not worth the 90 bucks I saved buying it used. By the way there are no downloads on the AA website for this product except the manual. All files needed have to be emailed to you from customer support. They emailed me the Firmware, the tools utility, and the ASIO drivers.
