Sujet: Question About The Samples

wuts good folks. I have a question about recording sample drops to play during my mixes. Before I downloaded 8, I was using VDJ LE and there were 12 samples at the bottom where I could record my drops to use. I don't see how to do that on 8. Can someone walk me thru this please? I apologize if this question has been presented already and I apologize if I posted this in the wrong forum. Thanks in advance

Please have a look to the section between the two decks on default skin.
You can switch from Mixer/Video/Scratch to Master View.
When you are using the master tab there is a rec button below the Master Out Control
Use this to record files as custom sampler

One more question... how do I go about recording my mixes? Again, on LE there was a tab for record and I did it thru there
 
Please note however that recording samples directly into slots/pads like VDJ 7 is unfortunately no longer possible.

Now all samples get recorded to the sample folder and they have to be dragged & dropped onto the pads.

[EDIT] recording your mix - the rec button just above the crossfader in the pic.
 
Same Tab ...use the Rec Button above the cf ;-)

dang... now I just found out I can use 8 for only 10 minutes with my Numark unless I pay a fee!!! UGH
 
If you've got LE you should be able to get a discount on a VDJ 8 license.
 
its saying I gotta pay $99
 
After you put your LE license number in the discount box?
 
Now thats a hell of a discount in anyones currency... lol, go for it.

Go to the BUY page. Below the three main boxes is a grey bar with 'discount prices' on it. Below that is a box for your code and a button.
