What exactly is AudioCut8 ? What does it do ?

just activate the effect, it's also known as a gate fx.
 
One of those "first world" kind of bugs/annoyances'

This FX is driven by the CBG, it doesn't work if you're not running a cbg (having a dedicated sample deck)

in instances of no cbg or a stopped cbg (I use vsts to sample loop) could it work off sample bpm and sample start to trigger, a stopped cbg is trickier... erm go off bpm and have a shift dial, perhaps.
 
Is there anyway we can get the Parameters switched??

Im gonna go out on limb and say most people here will use multi effects so on most controllers the 1st knob will be the main and in my mind the "cut" is the main focus of this plugin. Now for example I use a DDJ SP1 for effects and I have it setup for multi effects (3 different effects for 3 knobs) well in order for me or anyone who has a setup like me we have to now hold down a shift button to adjust the cut. I just cant use the cut like especially when VDJ 7's version was just a single parameter which was the cut.

Can we please get this swapped around?? Please??
 
You can script round it, Something like

effect_select "Audio Cut8" ? effect_slider 2 : effect_slider 1
 
am so new to this, do i make a macro with my controller effect_audio8cut 1 just that ?

Noticed a small bug if beat pos is less than 0 [first beat is later in the track] the effect won't do anything,

Yea this bug exists for me too. If you're playing a song and the beginning doesn't have some sort of drums the effect doesn't kick in. Also the popping sound for when the audio cuts in and out can be a bit annoying. I wonder if it's possible to make it fade in and out so the clicks aren't there.

Cut is a native plugin in modern VirtualDJ
You find it on the effect list in the software
