Hey guys, I'm an old school tape splicing remixer. I use Audacity now, but as you will see, my style is still the same.
When I started programming my Twitch controller for use with VDJ8, I checked up on the contributor of the default mapper, Mike Dailor. I found that he likes to do some remixing also, and has several tracks on his website. Although the sound quality of all his tracks are excellent, I didn't care for most of them overall, as they just didn't have the right energy. That is... except for this one track... which I think is pure dynamite! However, I still thought it could still use improvement, so I worked it over and did it my way.
I haven't tried playing this bad-boy in public yet, but for my money, it's a "can't fail". Please go here: https://soundcloud.com/dj-demolition-5/mikedailor-vs-cream-sunshine-of-your-love-dj-demolition-rebuild-extended-house-130-bpm-1 , and check it out for yourselves. I'm interested in your comments. Hip-hop lovers need not apply... ;-)
