Sujet: Disable microphone playback

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Hello!

Is it possible to disable microphone playback when microphone is ON?
I need dis, cause i run my microphone through USB-card, and then into my controller where my headphones are, and therefor I get double playback. I dont like that.

Best regards

think simple ... use a Mic with a common jack so you can manage it via your controller

As it is for radio usage, I'd like to use my condensator microphone, and therefor need a pre-amp., and I got that in my USB soundcard.
I guess this feature, selecting whether you want mic playback or not would be simple for VirtualDJ to implement. It is already available to the booth as an option.

I guess you are aware of the on off button on the skin?

Yes - I am. I want it to SEND my microphone sound, but not play it back, so I can't hear it. :)
So I miss a cue/PFL button next to the on/off button.

Just a guess, but maybe turning down the mic_volume solves your problem?
But I don't know if it will affect both, input and output vol.

Already tried. It does, which also makes sense.

Are your headphones set to master or headphones in audio config?
The mic should always be audible on master pretty sure the mic isn't audible in my headphones/pfl while broadcasting.

My headphones are set to headphones in audio config.

It is set to headphones. (ASIO)

Master: DDJ-SX MASTER
Headphones DDJ-SX Headphones
Mic: Steinberg C1 (Mic)

Then im outputting from my Steinberg to my SX's mic input. That's why I get double feed (ofcourse).
Therefor my interest in disabling the mic PFL/cue in VirtualDJ, as im getting it in the controller, and to avoid latency when im speaking, which we all know drives you crazy.

I know that sometimes Windows will have the playback of the microphone on. This will cause you to hear the mic through your headphones if it is accidently set to the default sound card.
