Sujet: Video effects on enabling a sound effect

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Hi,
I am using an NS 7 II controller with VDJ8 on Mac OS X Yosemite. I have set the FX Mode to Multi FX Mode so that each FX knob has its own sound effect.
I would like to enable a video effect when I enable a sound effect from the controller. Any ideas on how to go about achieving this?

Hmm, can you provide an example ?
E.g. you want the Video Effect "Colorize" to get enabled when "Flanger" Audio Effect is enabled ??

Exactly!! Spot on...

it depends on how you activate the Effects.
E.g. this action assigned to a button should do what you want.
effect_active 'Flanger' ? effect_active 'Colorize' off & effect_active 'Flanger' off : effect_active 'Colorize' on & effect_active 'Flanger' on

Hi djdad,

Thanks for your prompt response.
I am using an NS7II controller and the actions are as shown below.
Where should fix that piece of code? Many thanks...

Help me to help you ;)

which button of the NS7II do you wish to work like this ?
please declare it by its Key name of the mapping or the name that has on the silkscreen on the unit

Is it only one specific Effect that you wish to enable a specific Video Effect (like the example above) ?

Do you wish this behavior to apply on all 3 Slots of the Multi FX mode ?

I would like this behaviour on all 3 slots of the Multi FX mode. FX1, FX2 and FX3
When the effect is active, I would like the 'Spectral' video effect. Let me know if that makes sense?

Many thanks.

Any effect or some particular ?
and do you want the Video Effect to apply on the deck or the Master Video Output ?
