Sujet: Team DJ'ing over LAN or Internet

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

So, this question came up recently with a friend of mine and I, both who DJ. We were wondering about the possibility of "team DJ'ing" over some sort of networked connection (I.e. LAN or Internet). I've searched the forums and the Internet in general with no luck, although there was a post on these forums where someone wanted to use a LAN connection for something else, and team DJ'ing came up but the conversation didn't continue down that route. Does anyone know if this is possible or have any thoughts or ideas? It'd basically be sharing a Virtual DJ connection between two different computers with two different controllers.

Thanks!

It's not possible to connect 2 instances of VDJ to share the same database for example.
The reason is that, as far as I know, the first instance of VDJ will get exclusive access to the database.
So a 2nd copy would not be able to use it.

Beside that, I cannot think of a good reason why you would want to do that?
It' easier to run 2 standalone copys and bring both master outputs together.
Bring both outputs into a mixer, and the mixers's master out to your broadcast server or what ever.
