Sujet: New Brand Name! - Page: 1

Cette partie de ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes

Hey guys, need your help, but unfortunately I have to be a little vague so hopefully not to conflict with forum posting rules.

We have an events company and on occasions have to supply clients with certain items which over the years if we went to an outside supplier would cost an arm and a leg to purchase. So a lot of our designs are made in house with normally a higher quality level and finish to the product.

We also sell these products on to other event companies and establishments at a good price discount then they would be able to purchase on the open market.

I've recently decided to bring some of these products under a brand name that up until now we have never bothered with. The products that I have decided to first put under this umbrella are all event and dj related. With other products/items to be kept off the new branding.

So, before you go looking, there is no website, or page that you will find these items on, it's still in my brain, thats where I need your help, before I build a specific website for them I need a name (brand) to bring them altogether, I have one I'm toying with but would like to get a third party reaction to the name or if you don't like, a substitute name that I could use, remember it hasn't to have any connection or link to any other company.

Anyways, the name I'm toying with for the new brand would be EventPro Design... what do you think, all comments welcome, cheers.

Why this 3 words? What's the story of them?
I'm crushing my mind to create a brand name, but it's very hard with the little infos you provided.

I'll try and give out a little more info and hopefully not contravene forum rules, but I think it will be difficult.

So, just a few of the things we do, led flooring, custom led draping all shapes and sizes, screens, again all shapes and sizes and uses, from dividers to dj fronts. I could add more but I'd better stop, hopefully you get the idea.

The name I came up with was to bring together all the subjects in one name and would, in each part would gain links, in a domain name for the website, hope you understood that bit.... looks damn confusing to me... lol

Sure I understand. I've written a couple of websites myself. And when I say written, I mean written. Own css, own grafics, own cms system...

Back to your topic.
Seems that it is mainly lighting stuff.
That distroyes my first idea.

Let me think about it...
You mean “pro“ not as abbreviation for professional. It's the latin prefix (is that the right english word? Prefix?) pro... Or maybe both... So you are playing with the words...

As a short feedback, I think the name is too long. Too undescribing (judging by the infos).
You need something more on the point. Short. On the point.

Hey, just sent you a pm, hope that helps.

Hi Tayla,
I have to agree with PachN8(passionate,as I understand it) on this one, If you don't want to infringe on forum rules(even though you are ultra VIP) ....
Maybe you could talk to the peeps by pm or something and I'm sure that we can(and want) to help you.
I would need to see what you have on offer b4 I can start to suggest a name for it, 'cos otherwise it's just my imagination after reading your few cryptic lines.
please do not misunderstand me, I'm not bashing you, I would love to help you b'cos you share so much on this forum!!!
yours faithfully,
ray

Paul, I think your name is quite to the point. From what you described, EventPro Design sounds like you are a professional designer of events, or professional events designer. It's not just lights but includes furniture, drapes, carpeting, backdrops, facades, canopies, statues, props, ornaments, etc. In other words, you turn a banquet room, into a 16th century ballroom. Some of my friends do this, and it's very lucrative. UBS and HSBC initials no longer stand for what they used to, so your name can be anything. You can always put something underneath like, "Fantasies Realized", "Your Dreams Come True", "Your Wishes, Our Passion" or something silly like that. You will need my PayPal info, because I don't take checks. You know a brother needs to get paid.

Yeah AMAHM, its true. But it just sounds too ordinary.
Whatever X designs.
Your wish comes true.

That is really just “silly“.
Too simple for this world at this times.

I know my phrase is more than three words but, it is compelling. Try "Tayla, Buy from Me or Die."

Rofl Terry, wow Rick, you got it in one mate in what we do.

Payment has been deposited in Terrys account as per his invoice, he said he'll take his usual managers cut of 80% of the fee and pass the rest onto you.

I like it better with the word Magic replacing Design.
It sounds too clinical.
Maybe something like..
PartyMagic

Bring the two together. EventPro Magic.

Do you have to use EventPro? That name is everywhere already.

TaylaMagic

Hey guys, thanks for the responses so far. I'm open to suggestions on any name to be honest.

I like where this is going but you'll get critics that will lose it cuz "you said it would be PERFECT!!"
"Designs That Shine" with a slogan like "From the Windows to the Walls" but then your cutting out flooring. Slogan of "We've got you covered"..
Hope it helps.

PartyMagic, TaylaMagic? I'm sorry but the first thing that comes to my mind is a clown that does magic tricks. I am not trying to appeal to everyone, just the ones that can pay me. Young people can't pay me, their parents can. Even 30 year old couples are young to me, and their parents are paying for the wedding. Corporations are looking for a class act, and can pay for these services. This is a specialty service, ranging from a movie night to casino night. I do a casino night that includes gaming tables with croupiers, lighting, carpeting, liquor and bartenders. These services are usually sought after by social clubs, charities, weddings and corporations.
