So I just got a vestax vci-300 and a vfx-1 and in virtualdj it says they both fail to connect, cant get them to work in serato either...any suggestions?

PC or Mac? Have you installed the latest drivers and firmware? Different USB cable? Is it possible that the controllers are broken?

Windows detects the devices correctly and can play sounds on windows like a standard soundcard?

so please set the internal soundcard as standart device for windows first and reboot windows.
perhaps some appplications want to use the default audio interface and block access from VirtualDJ ?
