Sujet: MC-6000 buzz/hum sound

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Hello.
I am using a MC-6000 with a new Windows 8 laptop. Recently I noticed a buzz sound when I play a song through Virtual DJ using the Asio Driver midi channels on the mixer. When I play a song through Virtual DJ and use the headphone jack (computer soundcard) and use the Line 1 channel on the mixer there is no buzz. By process of elimination I think it's the Asio Driver. But I have reinstalled it twice and the buzz is still there. Has anyone experienced something like this?
The mixer is about 4 years old and I have the updated firmware.

Do you get the humming sound when the laptop is running battery or only when the laptop is plugged into the power supply.

I suggest you do avoid ASIO driver for DN-MC6000 and use WASAPI driver instead: it's more stable and no issue.

I tried ground plugs and nothing changed. What is the WASAPI driver? Where do I get it?

It's built in to Windows. Select it in the sound settings instead of Denon Asio

This is a Denon issue, and it has been a problem for most of those that use the 6000. I have not been able to use the ASIO drivers for a whole gig. It may start out OK, but will sound like shet at some point. There are some that claim they use the ASIO drivers without issue. However, the vast majority of us use the WASPI drivers and keep it moving.

The WASAPI sound driver doesn't come up as an option in my drop down.

Possible that t is named WDM driver.
The are the same.
