allowed the 8.1 update on my PC now VDJ won't run grrr

Please make Sure that there is no VDJ process Running in the background and then try again.

That didn't help. It was picking up my VDJ7 skin which isn't compatible. I went into registry and changed skin to default and that fixed things. I run both versions but use 7 live.

I run both versions, normally I use mixlab 3.1 with version 7 and Mixlab8 with version 8. the update seems to have got these mixed up. so I edited registry to change the skin to virtualDJ 8 skin and the update worked immediately. I'm back to using both versions with the correct skins and everything is fine
