I have a question regarding my VMS4 along with the VDJ setting in regards to the jogwheels. I can spin/scratch fine with my hands BUT when I use lets say a cortez shoe to scratch....the VDJ software & controller doesn't recognize that shoe or other objects if I decide to do tricks...HOWEVER when the song is not playing it recognizez the shoe or objects as a scratch but not when i'm playing a track....can I adjust this in VDJ settings to scratch also when the song/track is playing....i've watched so many DMC battles on youtube and taking my skills to another level. thanks for the help.

I don't know shet, so I look shet up. Are you talking about a Nike sneaker, when you say a Cortez shoe?

It depends on the method the controller uses to detect touch, which usually requires conduction such as through your skin.
You could change the mapping from touchwheel to speedwheel, but then release of the jog wheel is not detected either anymore, so there will be a delay before the record starts spinning again.
Edit: Possibly you could modify the objects you want to use in a similar way as the gloves they sell that are suited for use with touch-screen.
