I've found that I'm having trouble downloading Windows 7 updates as well as those for Microsoft Security Essentials. I'm wondering if a USB stick could have infected my computers.
This sort of thing use to be repairable, however after a little reading a complete format is recommended by many.
The Microsoft security situation might have deteriorated badly since I last looked.
This is ominous, does anyone have any further information about Microsoft updates?
I ran one of their tools but it could not repair the update system?
Looking on the pessimistic side of things I'm thinking this could be the beginning of the end for Microsoft.
VDJ 8 was magnificent combined with my XDJ-R1 tonight, I never bothered with Remotebox, or Rekordbox. I would hate to be deprived of this excellent software.
Maybe a Mac?
It's probably not that serious, but I'm worried.
I would feel safer if Atomix did a Linux version of VDJ8.
Note: if you want to find out how to use a XDJ-R1 then read the CDJ 350 manual. It adds a lot which is missing from the XDJ-R1 manual, that's a bit sad.
Also even though I deleted all the mappings I could find related to Remotebox, it still can control VDJ 8. I tried the transports, and loops tonight and was amazed to find VDJ 8 control was overridden by an Ipad using Remotebox.
I don't like that.

One of my 3 laptops made contact with Microsoft overnight, and updated. That's a relief. Microsoft are still pushing Win 10. Maybe the Win 10 downloads are overwhelming their servers.
I've isolated this laptop for security reasons = no Internet.
It's unlikely I have a real problem, but I'm not in a position to take chances.
That all our computer hardware is made in China, and possibly contains back-doors is a betrayal of the West.
We need it to be made in the West.
It's critical to the security of our hemisphere.
Another of my laptops is fine, just one more to worry about.
I'm a little paranoid, but not without good reason.
