and that would mean doing them one by one in tag&rename i don't have time

No it doesn't mean doing them one by one.
You just need to put the correct string in the er.......place where the string goes, then when you press the button, they all get modified.

there's no string for subtitle

he is right in tag&rename you can't do any auto actions with subtitle field. this part of the reason i started using mp3tag even though i bought tag&rename
looks like your only option is to have file names that follow
artist - title (remix)
or
artist - title [remix]
and let vdj fill the fields for you one by one is no option i agree with that.

I see that now - but you could write it to another tag and then use the "Copy Text From One Tag Field To Another" option to move it.

EDIT: i've removed all properties in the files of that album and re-tagged them scanned bpm and VDJ as now recognised remix field when reloading tags it doesn't disappear, knew track numbers wasn't the problem

So what did u change to fix it then?
Posté Mon 11 Jul 16 @ 12:00 pm
nothing just removed properties from the files re-tagged them and re-scanned in VDJ and it added remix field automatically when reloading tags it didn't disappear

Where were the files from? I wonder if maybe they had more than one ID3 tag version written. You were writing one but VDJ was reading the other.
It used to be the case that VDJ would read older tags before new ones. I dunno if that's still true.
