earlier I was using MIXX2.0 and "D" was a hot key to play/pause Desck-1, and L was for Deck-2.
i loved that feature and habitual to that.
is it possible the same way here?
no doubt VDJ8 is superb. waiting for answer.

you can MAP/Assign any key you want to do anything you want.
