I don't use video so this is just presumptive QA on my part
opening the video editor the wave form is backed with the 4 step grey scale, but it [the grey scale] has no link to anything.

The gray scale is the beatgrid. Just zoom the waveform.

Assumed so, but on changing the CBG and reopening it didn't change, but newer builds it works, maybe a glitch in the matrix.
