and what is recommended.
Thanks :)

We have two modes, one which has been tuned to detect the key of electronic dance music with a regular beat, whilst the other is for general music. We are supposed to use both!
I've seem key detection software which can be tweaked to improve it's performance with different types of music. That implies infinite modes.

How is this possible when the checked option is either one or the other?

If you're preparing a house / club set then use the suitable option, otherwise have it set to general music. Easy.

Bigron
thats the reason why i chose to all test them by my self and keep the key info very carefully.
Because either way (options) doesnt necessarily show the real key (or start key, what ever)
there are "A" key songs that are shown "F#" ....
its really upsetting...

You don't have that many house / club songs do you?
1000?
You could easily copy the key analysis by hand to the comments tag.
If your a club DJ who uses a limited range of genres with a strong beat then just use the electronic music mode.
A mobile DJ may have 20,000 songs or more.
He needs to use broad range key detection.
It's not ideal but nor is it really upsetting.
Key analysis only gives you a guide as to what songs may fit together, your ear must do the real work.
LOL... I seem to be happy with all the great VDJ8.2 features on offer, I'm not going to grumble over spending a little time using the two key modes to best advantage. However I suspect Atomix will resolve this problem before too long.
