Sujet Thoughts on making everything work

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Hello everyone,

I wanted some thoughts as to how to connect and set up my equipment best to maybe use live. Still researching the best methods, but I figured I'd ask in here too.

Equipment:
Macbook Pro
Ableton Live Standard
Virtual DJ 8 Pro
Roland TR-8
Omnisphere 2
Pioneer DDJ-SZ
Korg Kaossilator Pro +
Roland Ax-Synth (possibly to be used as a MIDI controller for Omnisphere 2)

Thanks in advance,

Bruno

Start studying very, very hard.
These two pieces of software take a long time to master.
Ableton Live Standard
Virtual DJ 8 Pro
I would say both work together very well, but I still have a great deal more to learn.
What's that song..Work, Work.
I'm sure you get the idea.

On a positive note..if you do totally master both of these pieces of software you deserve to be called a SuperDJ! Well almost..then you need to study music for 10 or 20 years. Use the manuals, you-tube tutorials, and absorb any bits of information that you can pick up on the forums.
Success will mean you're the best !

You gonna have to give us more info then what equipment you'll be using.

I mean I could have exactly the same setup but use it differently so we kinda need to know what your gonna be or wanting to be doing with each piece.

To get started rolling really soon, just start with the main software and hardware set up: VDJ, SZ, and Macbook (can already be considered a Pro-Set-Up).

The rest you could think of them as: additional spices. Trust me that most club managers (or wedding clients) wouldn't even expect or ask if you use Ableton (and your other equipment) on your gig.

I used to be an active musician and I have similar
set up. I only play with theseat home for fun and in preparation of a Big Fetival someday.

Goodluck!
