Sujet Headphones mono splitter HELP

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

I can't seem to make sound only come out of my headphones when I use the mono Y splitter cable, it's always coming out of my speaker as well. :(
Does anyone have tips? (I've done all the stuff VDJ website showed me)

well it will wont it, you are sending the same signal to both by splitting it. You need to send the speakers out by usb and then headphones by the headphone jack. Or get a dj interface

is your splitter a stereo to 2 mono, 3 sections on the mini jack, [TRS]
have you set 1 output chan to master and the other to headphones?

Oh i see, using left and right channels to send different signals. Didn't even know you could do that.

It needs a specific type of cable. Rather than a simple Y cable that gives you two duplicate outputs, the correct type of cable (a DJ splitter cable) will separate the left and right channels - left to one socket and right to the other, so that people who can't afford an audio interface can DJ and cue in mono instead. :-)
