Hi all as any one used or using mackie srm650 or mackie srm550 just thinking of getting a pair are they as good as the srm 450 v1

Best thing to do is go and hear some yourself. Don't base your purchase on someone elses opinion. They don't have your ears.

I did have a quick look at the Mackie web site when I read your post. They look nice and a very good plus point is that they're made of wood.
IMO the 15" would be the one to go for (if you're not using bass bins) because the frequency range is better. The 12" doesn't have much low end.
What they sound like though can only be answered by hearing them.

Sound advise. This way you can also hear others, side by side with the same music. Bring your own music on a stick or CD.

cheers great advice the only thing the nearest DJ store is about a 2 an half hour drive away from me but i think its well worth it
