What would cause my SOUNDCARD to jump from my NUMARK MIXTRACK QUAD to an INTERNAL SOUNDCARD.......in the middle of my set.....three times!!!!

Most of times, its a USB/device disconnection, similar to when you unplug your controller and in this case VirtualDJ will automatically revert to the built-in sound card.
Try to ..
- replace the USB cable with a new one.
- use a different USB port.
- Try not to use a USB hub

Thanks DjDad....I can see where that may be the answer....I have an Akai MPD218 and the controller attached to the laptop and both were attached to the same side.
