Have any of you wizards out there considered remapping the filter knob on the Numark Mixtrack Pro 3 so that is controls the gain instead? In my naive brain I can't see why this shouldn't be possible but I wouldn't have a clue where to start.

Yes, I did it! God I am a f*=king simpleton. Now my Mixtrack Pro 3 has everything I need. (I rarely used filter anyway being of the old school, and it's still there on screen if I really need it).

try this then
shift ? filter : gain
If shift is pressed it controls the filter, if not pressed it controls gain.
