Lads noticed last night then when I press on faceplate near master volume area the sound gets higher ..unit working ok any ideas cheers

Sounds like you have a defective unit to me i would try to exchange it.
 
It's a few years old now.only noticed it last night but it works perfect otherwise
 
maybe get in touch with pioneer support and see what they say about it then..
