Sujet: I want to give 2018 a try

I want to try out the latest version of VDJ 2018 but I want to keep the version of VDJ 8 that I'm currently using. Is there a way to download 2018 while still keeping 8?

Make a copy of your vdj exe and then update the original.
 
Will I then have to redownload ver 8 or will it remain the same and 2018 will download separately?
 
The exe you have now launches v8.2, copy it. The copy will always launch v8.2. Launch your original exe and from inside option allow updates, this version will become v2018. Honestly after using v2018 for a week you'll never use 8.2 again. [you're like a year behind]
Good practice when updating is to backup your database
