I thought there were some settings implemented that handled that. Can't check at work sorry

setting "readOnly"

In windows or VDJ... I don't want global read-only. Just in VDJ.

Also I don't want it locked until I'm happy with the analysis. So individual locking is what I look for. Plus if I will that automatically lock tracks so I can't repair the wrong cbg placement.

Keep a backup then...

All that, why can't I just click a lock icon in the browser. That way I can tapout different timing for echoes and other effects, on the fly, without changing the original analysis. Doesn't that make better sense? I do a lot of things by tapping but then have to reset the cbg because it double or halves. I do tapping because of earlier mixers where you tapped in the echo timing...

But if the analysis is correct, why do you still tap?

He taps out different timings....

I do the same thing sometimes. For example, if the track is 120bpm but you want to put an effect on it, synced to 60bpm.

For such cases I have 2 buttons to either half or double the bpm, quicker to action and doesn't alter your first beat.
Tap for fx is a bit of a bodge if you can instead, do it mathematically. Even for out of sync use.
