Les had one but had a few issues.

I considered it but I ended up with another MCX8000. Now I'm doing mobiles and using my own stand size isn't an issue any more.
I would have expected the quality to be amazing but some people say the switches and faders aren't the best.

If you care keeping the same size (and weight), the DJ 707M seems a good choice to replace your MC6000MKI. You cant easily find a 4 channel controller with so many features at this size range.
As for the built quality, seems good to me, future will tell if made to last.

There are a few threads on this controller and some of the issues, I would suggest doing a search and some reading. There is another user (demper) that had the same issues as I did, so, it wasn't just me. I returned mine for a refund, I was very disappointed as I really wanted this to replace my MC6000Mk2.
I had also bought the MC7000 a few weeks previous (before the 707m was announced) and really glad I kept hold of it. The more I use the MC7000, the more I like it. Sound quality is fantastic and the VDJ mapping is great too.

Yes it's was the feature set and size that made it look good , I guess it's early days for firmware and ironing out the glitches
Most manufactures these days seem to rush out the hardware then end up fixing the software when it's out in the wild , shame really
I have a nice flight case which I have managed to fit my mc6000, digital amp, active crossover, radio mic and my backup usb player, and I can still lift it ! , It's been a nice solution for me being mobile, all in one box and then I just select and load the speakers to suit the venue, likewise the lighting controller etc is in another rack case.
I guess the other option is to have the controller in one case and the rest of the audio in a separate rack, can't remember the last time I had to use the backup usb player, it's handy if I setup early and want to leave some background music on (don't have to leave my laptop out)
