if you want VDJ support on a similar app try mixo.dj
its free as long as you don't need cloud upload abilities well its free right now anyways.

ID3DJ standard, dj SWs need to bash their heads together, djing has the need for the highest standard for tagging, so they should make the standard, where would we be if midi wasn't a thing?

There's a MacOS tool to generate an XML from RB 6. You can also still import XML files in RB 6 (with a little workaround for Cue Points).
Depending on Rekord Buddy's architecture i may help with VirtualDJ integration. I've made a VirtualDJ to Rekordbox conversion script here: https://github.com/waffln/rbx-gen
Converting other databases to VirtualDJ is definitely possible. I already have the database model done.

VirtualDJ already supports reading RekordBox 6 playlists, so you don't need Rekord Buddy for that.

I knew VDJ had RB support, but i wasn't sure if it read an XML export (RB 5) or decrypted the actual library. The reason is that open source attempts on decrypting the RB 6 library haven't been super successful yet (notice the absence of "playlist" anywhere on the Readme). I wonder how you guys pulled it off, but you probably won't tell me =P I'm not interested in decrypting, but generating a library to easily get my Virtual DJ library ready for CDJs with a USB exported through Rekordbox. Luckily RB 6 still supports importing XML files, even if it's a bit bugged.
