Hello everyone, I'm looking to make a script so that when I turn on my microphone it puts my master volume to 0 and when I press my key again it puts my master volume to 1 and mutes my microphone.
i have tried that but dosen't work :/ can you help me please. :)
mic on & master_volume 0 : mic off & master_volume 1

Hnag on - what's the point of having the mic on when master volume is at zero? Nobody will hear it.

Because my principal sound i record my heaphone sound and on it i don't need to have master is juste for my speakers i want to reduce the sound of my speakers when my mic is on :)

mic on & deck all level 0 : mic off & deck all level 1
try that, it could be tweaked further,
master_level is EVERYTHING so what you see is expected.

no worries, you own a small part of the SW now, you wanted it to work "this way" and now it works the way you wanted.

Please le me know if you solve this as exactly what I was hopping could be done simply by mapping. In needs to work both ways eg , turn mic up cuts master . Turn up master cuts mic. Good luck

You could also use mic_talkover for this
mic_talkover 0%

That would mute the music, but the mic would still be audible. People here are asking for the master output to be muted, which would include the mic.

What would be the point of turning on the mic if you don't want to hear it?
Posté Mon 12 Oct 20 @ 8:39 am
That's what I said (see post #2), but the customer wants it to work that way.

He did reply "thank you so much it worked" for the script using level though, which is the same as mic_talkover and indeed different from user master volume
