wondering if some can please explain what this error is and how to fix it.

Means your broadcast settings are wrong.
Since no error message is returned, it can be hard to say what.. .
But make sure you have correct bitrate, correct format (mp3 vs ogg), correct protocol (shoutcast vs icecast). As well as the rest of the settings.
Just go over it all and you'll spot the error i bet ;-)
