if you own a license there is no need of internet to use VDJ with the controller as long as you are registered (you didn't disconnect before to exit)
if no license no need of internet ... and no gig
only online services won't be available
if there is no network but you need online services, you can use broadband connection sharing from a phone. if not available... use internal or external HDD or SSD

The license works offline ;-)
As long as you dont explicitly log out in the software you'll be fine

To do a gig using VDJ you will need a licence if you check the EULA it will tell you all the information you need thats why I have a pro subsciption .
