One stereo input per turntable / cd player

This is my Idea vestax VCI400, 2 denon Dns3900 controlling decks 1 and 2 timecode input through traktor audio 8. Deck 3 and 4 with vestax controller.
Main output VCI400.

Been a while since i saw the VCI-400 but dont think you need a DVS soundcard then..
The VCI-400 should have that capability build in ;-)

Looking at some pictures it does look like it has 2 line inputs on the back, and the vdj sound config includes those inputs too from what I can see, so it should work fine for dvs.
(I didn't find clear pictures so not sure if it has phono inputs or not, so if you want to use turntables with phono output you may need to get some phono pre-amps)

The sc3900 is dvs ready. no need for the AI.

Pretty sure you can use DVS on the VCI-400.. even the VCI-380 has that...
DVS ready just means it has line-ins the computer can hear, and preferable phono inputs.
If i remember right it has a level knob for the input at back..

But I could be wrong, and there was a firmware update that even made it stand-alone

And as mentioned, the sc3900 is DVS in itself .. "hybrid mode".
Where you use timecode direct on the player instead of midi/hid.
But that you probably know, you want to use the hybrid mode to send timecode

And I think you could even load timecode on to a usb stick and be "true" timecode DVS

Both are very old gear, so hopefully remembering correctly ;-)

I use hybrid midi mode so the dns3900 outputs a timecode through its rca outs timecode is still more responsive than midicontrol.

The 380 has dvs but the 400 doesnt.
I always wondered why it was like that.... But it is... vestax introduced standalone mixer mode in the 400 as one of its last actions but for some reason that still didnt give it DVS capabilities.
