I have noticed lately the audio isn't in sync, the music is playing slower. My latency is set at 288. Should I lower it or raise it higher.

288 is very low..
So the latency might be elsewhere..
How is your audio output routed ? Bluetooth, to an external amp? etc etc
And if on Windows using Asio, the latency setting is at the brands driver utility settings

And if using multiple sound cards or speakers "far" way, you might notice a difference in headphones vs speakers.. if the cards are not same, they might have different latency, and output delays
