at a gig, I opened virtual dj8 and it said it had updated , do I want to use it. i clicked yes, it dropped out and now won't open

It appears on some macs the update process indeed fails.Manually installing either the current stable from https://www.virtualdj.com/download/index.html or the current Early Access build from https://www.virtualdj.com/download/build.html should work fine

MacBook Pro running Ventura 13.4. I opened up the application, said VDJPro had been updated and do I want to use it. I clicked "yes" and now it won't open. Says "the application virtualDJ can't be opened", what happened? What is the resolve? TIA

Last night and this morning I updated both of my MacBooks running Ventura 13.4 with VirtualDJ b7584.
Also my Bootcamped MacBook with Windows 10 is also updated to VirtualDJ to b7584.
All three are working fine. 😊
My Systems Specs;
Main - M1 MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2022), Apple Silicon M1 Pro, 16gb, 500 gb SSD, macOS Ventura 13.4, VirtualDJ Early Access v2023-m b7584
Backup - MacBook Pro 15-inch 2018 (Touch Bar), 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7, 16gb 2133 MHz LPDDR3 Memory, Radeon Pro 560 4096 MB, Intel HD Graphics 630 n1536 MB, macOS Ventura 13.4, 500gb SSD. NTFS for Windows installed. VirtualDJ v2023-i b7584.
+ Bootcamped with Windows 10 Pro Vers. 22H2 x64bit. VirtualDJ 2023-i b7584.
External WD Passport Ultra 2Tb HD formatted exFat containing Music & Video databases.
Controllers - Denon MC7000, Denon MC6000 Mk2.

I'm interested by this post since I accepted the auto update of my VDJ on my MacBookPro as usual..
But seems i encounter the same issue. Not possible to open virtualdj.app when I try to launch it.
I remembered that was already happened some years ago, so I downloaded the VDJ package from the site.
The installation was fine and vdj worked perfectly, until I accept to update it again...
Seems, it cleanup the old version but cannot installing the new one.
So I reinstalled it again and same issue if I update it. I stay for now with the current public version... (2023-i b7555)
No clue from where come this issue, Mac Ventura 13,4 or VDJ auto-update..
I think other feed-back would be welcome.

I have the same problem on Mac intel i9 first appeared with EA BUILD 7594.
The problem seems to have existed since the OS update to 13.4.1 (on 06/22/23). under 13.4 there was no problem.

Hello guys l was using virtual dj 2023. Nicely after updating to vdj 2024 things gone wrong l installing the vdj 2024 but it's not opening

Well, it's not related to this post since the post is a year old and was for a problem with a specific early access release that is not available anymore
So maybe create a new post with your issue?
