Sujet: Send-NDI - Page: 2
This is fantastic - Thank you so much for making this!

I use 'Send-NDI' to send video output to Resolume

Could we possibly get an option to send the sound too please.

I think you can do it with NDI VST3 plugin. (NDI Audio Direct)

After the installation from the NDI website, you can find it here:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\

Plugins.VST.NDI.Input.vst3
Plugins.VST.NDI.Output.vst3

I used it with my laptop and main club visuals computer running on the same network via wired gigabit connections.

The process was quite easy:
Start VirtualDJ
Enable Video Engine
Start NDI Send

How do you 'start' the plugin? I've installed it, but even with video engine on see no 'start NDI' option

First,
thank you very much for providing that plugin. It works really well. Great work.

Regarding the sound I would prefer sending the sound directly with the video as-well.
I checkt out the VST plugin, but the quality was not so good and the picture and the sound was slightly out of sync. And - and this is more relevant to me - when I have a HDMI box that supports NDI input I have to reroute a new feet that combines the audio and video signal.

And it would be nice to have an option to enable the alpha level so that VDJ could send a video skin output that can be mastered in the NDI world.

Hello,

I am trying to use Send-NDI to send video to other applications like OBS on the same PC, but only still images are being displayed and the video is not being transmitted. Could you provide any troubleshooting steps or identify potential issues?

NDI itself works fine with other applications. For example, transmission from TouchDesigner to OBS and from OBS to Receive-NDI works correctly. The problem only occurs when using Send-NDI.

Environment:
Windows 10
VirtualDJ v8.5-64 b7183 (though the VirtualDJ version doesn't seem to be relevant)
Send-NDI (latest version)
NDI 5 (the issue persists with NDI 6 as well)

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi there, im having problem with send-ndi, it just simple does not work (for me) i can activate the effect in the video tab and the ndi apps i have to receive the signal see the signal but video is never sent, any idea whats going on? TIA

Hi, i found out that i need to have a newer version of VDJ for the NDI to work, i was using the VDJ version for High Sierra (Macintosh), now the question is, what is the oldest version compatible with Send-NDI? TIA

Wait... no audio? You need audio if you want to livestream. Yes, I know I can livestream directly from VDJ, but I want to bring the stream into OBS on another computer. Any plans for this plugin to ever get audio support? If not, what is the latest, working recommendation? I can't believe there is no audio support.

I don't want to sound ungrateful, maybe there is a technical reason that audio couldn't be easily implemented? It is in the video plugin section...

Also, I notice that my DJ logo isn't showing in OBS. That isn't sent in the NDI stream?

Resolume doesn't do audio over NDI either.

Yeah, I can see audio not being needed at the club or event location since the audio and video are run through separate systems there. But for live streaming to OBS on a second computer it's kinda necessary. Maybe my use case is not common. I don't want to run OBS on the same computer as VDJ. That laptop is already doing a lot, and I want to be able to have another person switching scenes from the second computer.

Use VBAN from vb-audio to send audio by using local network to another PC
https://vb-audio.com/Voicemeeter/vban.htm

Just add a "master" output on your VirtualDJ that goes to VoiceMeeter.
The rest should be very easy to do..

How did you guys configure this in OBS?

I cannot see NDI source in OBS :-(

When you say OBS do you mean Streamlabs or OBS Studio?

Sorry, i did mean OBS studio...

I did get it sorted, it turned out to be a firewall rule that blocked my connection...
