Yes, it is absolutely possible. But only one of them can be active at any given time.
So, you can have let's say 2 or 3 different mappers depending on what type of gig you're doing and switch between them even on the fly.
However for SOME controllers, switching on the fly is not recommended because of the way they initialize stuff in the software.
For most controllers though even that should not be an issue.
