I am super impressed with VDJ. It's a bit of a learning curve after spending almost 20 years with Serato, but VDJ seems far superior in almost every respect.
One thing I miss is the way waveforms are displayed in Serato. Is there a skin that comes close to it?
I mix often using new songs that I don't know well, and the way Serato displays the wave forms really helps me figure out how to structure my mix on the fly.
TIA.

Which waveform do you currently have configured in VDJ?
And which skin are you currently using?
(there is a lot of flexibility in how one can display waveforms)
Below is the one way the waveform can be displayed in the default Pro skin:
(w the following options in settings, or from menus)
skinWaveformType colors
skinOverviewType colors
coloredWaveforms neutral
waveformUseFrequency YES
and zoomed out
Again above is the Default Pro Skin, with the waveform options set as above.
-----------
and there are many custom skins to choose from.
(or you can create just one you wish, if none are exactly what you wish)
There are so many skins to choose from, and everyone has their favorite:
(I use a modified default Pro skin, if I had not already modified it I would be so into the other skins available)
without choosing favorites
if wanting to get idea of some possible skins, maybe check out:
(which also have options for where the waveforms are displayed relative to deck placement)

Others may have more/better suggestions for skins.
Happy exploring !

Thanks. Those settings work great for me. Maybe too much to ask, but has anyone used a skin or setting that greys out the stems or frequencies being killed?

That can't be skinned with freq, stems with shapes wavetype do that.

Try this skin by Dan djtouchdan Project X. It's in the Settings/Extensions/Skins.
