Hello,
Virtual DJ is carshing on me in the POI editor. The screen goes black and I lose the sound, and I eventually have to hard restart my computer.
Is there any way to debug this? I can consistently reproduce the problem. I am using version 2025 b8528.

Details of the file you're trying to edit? File format? Audio or video? Size?
What were you doing? List the steps you took to reproduce the crash.
I was using the POI editor earlier and didn't experience problems.

File type probably isn't the issue, seems like it's popup editor windows, new machine I'd suggest graphic driver update, or maybe even down grade.

Yes, it seems related to the popup editor windows. So far I managed to trigger it in the following windows:
* POIs Editor
* Track Cleaner
* Automix Editor
I updated my graphics and audio drivers to the latest versions, but am still having crashes. I am now afraid to use these modes in live performances.
I was wondering if there are some logs we could inspect to understand what is happening?

When does it crash? Is it crashing as soon as the window opens, before you do anything else?
What GPU and drivers? There's been a problem recently with NVIDIA drivers.

I have an AMD Radeon 780M, integrated in the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS. Running the latest drivers 25.5.1 (but older drivers have the same issue).
The timing is random, sometimes it crashes as soon as I start playing in one of the editors. Sometimes it takes longer. Once it even crashed without me opening any of the editors.
I tried a lot of things so far (updating drivers, rolling back, tweaking VDJ options), nothing worked... This is driving me crazy.

I have similar problems. In my case, the whole display freezes, but most time it will continue after several seconds. The music and the controller are usually still behaving. It can crash too. It's definitely linked to the POI and BPM editors, maybe others too, but it never happens if I just mix. It doesn't happen straight away, it can take several editions of several songs.

I actually had this happen to me last weekend too, i was mid set, no issues at all and went to play a transition track that i had not played for a long time and realised i had not scanned it for multiple bpm.
Opened the bpm editor, editor window opened and then whole display froze.... obviously crapping myself it was about to die, thankfully i still had full control via the RX3 connected and could carry on djing via VDJ.
Then went back to the my laptop and hit esc to try and clear bpm editor, thankfully it quit it and VDJ returned to normal.
I must admit that is the first time in a very long time i've had a brown pants moment with VDJ with 500 people in front of me at peak time set!! Thankfully i always have a backup USB key in one of the slots of the RX3 so could switch easily, luckily i didn't need to. Once my set finished, i tried to use the bpm windows once again (without closing out VDJ) and it worked fine. then tried it multiple time the next day at home with no controller connected and again was working fine.
So maybe i will just put it down to one of those things, but thought i would just highlight it that i also have seen the issue.

Holy cow! I'm glad that I'm only a living room DJ!
As a beginner, I spend time in the editors (POI, BPM and tags) and the problems are quite common but not systematic. You should not use them in a real gig until the issue is solved.
I forgot to mention earlier that I'm mostly using online music (Deezer) and I wonder if this has an impact. I had the same problem with an older Surface in Win10.
