Sujet: DDJ-FLX10 setup
Hello, I purchased the DDJ-FLX10 and was wondering was it compatible with Virtual DJ Pro. I've installed the Firmware and DDJ-FLX10 SETTING UTILITY FOR MAC and its not working? Any suggestions?

Thats where I downloaded everything. It keeps not showing audio drivers

It's not detecting the hardware

Given you did install the latest driver and firmware for the device, Macs also now ask if newly connected USB accessories should be allowed to connect.

If you didn't see that, or you clicked no by mistake, you may want to check Security & Privacy to see if it's not blocking the device from being used.

I've used the DDJ-FLX10 on Mac with VirtualDJ before, so it's most likely not a VirtualDJ issue.

Since you are a MAC user, and MAC users have some bad habits:

You need to RESTART/REBOOT your MAC after driver installation.

So, please reboot your MAC and try again. Also make sure that you use the correct USB port

May be a crazy question, but is the Setting Utility for Mac the driver download link for Mac? The description say setting Utility for Mac. on the driver for windows the description say audio driver for windows. .

Yes they are the same thing.

Question, DDJ-Flex 10 Utility Preference software, choices, Rekordbox, Serato or other? Thank you

I have it set to other and everything works fine.

Actually you should NEVER use "other" option on ANY device supported by VirtualDJ to this day.

VirtualDJ always maps devices to work with their native mode (Serato or Rekordbox).
While on most cases it doesn't matter, there have been cases the the firmware itself limits what messages can be exchanged with the device when using "other" mode, thus degrading the operation of the controller.

PS: When a device works with both Serato and Rekordbox, we usually pick one of the modes internally.
This doesn't matter for the end user, as usually the firmware switches between Serato and Rekordbox modes automatically.
However this may NOT happen if the unit is set to "other" mode.

So what should it be set to?

Sure I checked the VDJ manual when I got the controller and there was no mention of that setting anywhere so I chose other.

There was not mention because you didn't had to change it :P
Maybe it doesn't matter for FLX10.
But put it on Rekordbox mode, just to be on the safe side in case any future firmware upgrade breaks things.

OK thanks.
