Sujet: Basic Midi Learn
Hello everyone, I'm trying to do some basic midi mappings with a controller (faderfox ec4) but i'm not getting the same behaviour as in documentation and tutorials i've watched.
Ideally I would just like to move a parameter in VDJ Gui and move a parameter on the controller to make a match.
Let me know if i can be any clearer or more specific.
Have a nice day or night !

Ps. So far what i've been doing is open settings>controller>[custom controller]>write action and move fader. And it seems to work, but only for a single mapping, and it doesn't even take effect when I close the settings' box. The vertical box on the left of key and action remains blank.

Open the mapping, move the hardware dial, click it in the activity window, then click the eye dropper on the bottom right corner, click your vdj gui control
, be careful not to mouse over the left hand side list when the mapping window pops back up and save.

I have a full definition file for the EC4, [the mapping I'll never finish]
because at the hardware level any dial can be any note, any channel, either a slider or an encoder. The definition I haven't publicly shared.

Thank you so much !
Yeah to click on specific hardware data is what i was missing.
However, still no response - the mapping gets saved but nothing moves in virtual dj.
I've selected slider (0-SLIDER0) on faderfox side and the level of deck 1 in Virtual DJ, set both with Deck 1 and automatic.
Let me know if you have any clue
