Sujet: mic prob
Hi all. just connected mic to rane four but not getting any sound out.. i guess i'm doing something wrong somewhere.. maybe settings on vdj an/or rane four. mic audio set to rane four asio in vdj and rane four mic setting set to computer. tried other mics an leads, still same. mic on and gain up.

Are you wiring into mic port 1 or 2?
 
tried using both.. same on both.
 
any other suggestions.. any help appreciated
 
test the mic is good, try it on your sound in jack on your machine.
 
tried 3 different dynamic type mics.. still same problem, they work ok on old pioneer mixer. help to resolve needed please

mic is on in vdj , however in rane mic menu there's no master out option, only booth, headphone or computer.. is this correct do you know ?

I'd still like to see it, have you tested the unit with serato?
 
What if you put the Rane Four Mic setting "To computer" to Off ?
Normally, the Mic signal should be routed directly to the Master Outs of the Rane Four, assuming the MIC ON of the device is enabled and its Level is at appropriate level.

PS. You have speakers connected to the Master Outputs of the Rane, right ?
 
have set booth, headphone, and computer to off. also tried as stand alone..as should work ok on it's own so goggle say's, no laptop connected, still same issue, an yes speakers connected. everything else seems ok. maybe a rane issue an not vdj.. i'm at a loss
 
you've proven the mic, and the controller failed the stand alone test. This is 100% an issue to take up with Rane.
