So I finally decided to investigate why some songs never auto match BPMs when I load them. It's a real pain in the ass, because if I am fast mixing several songs per minute, I don't always have time to glance up and make sure that the BPMs are matching when I load a new track... I just expect them to work. Nothing worse than finding out while mixing that the BPMs are off.
It turns out that these songs that aren't auto-matching BPMs properly are tracks where I've had to activate multiple BPMs, and in some cases gone back to manually edit the BPM at the beginning of the track. In those tracks, VDJ is not using the BPM I set at the first cue point to calculate the necessary BPM for beat matching. It's using a BPM from later in the song. If I hit the manual sync button, it will sync properly. It's just AutoBPMMatch that isn't working in these conditions. I love VDJ, but I really wish it had modern, dynamic beat matching like djay Pro.
