I have some questions & requests concerning the Video FX effect “Text Plugin”.
I have been using this plugin for a while and it is very useful to display basic texts or lyrics.
But after testing different solutions (tellimedia, karaoke , etc ..) it remains the simplest way to display lyrics as the text can be stored directly in an action cue.
For example, an action in a cue at a specific time:

I have some issues with presets so I use n°2 as all the others are not active anymore (i didn’t find the reason yet, but I suspect a bug somewhere…)
For me scrolling the text is not the best way to display info, it is tiring for the eyes.
I was wondering if an update of this plugin is planned as it has never been enhanced. It would be great to include new features, I have a small list in mind i am sharing with you. The idea is not to highlight words one by one like karaoke, but manage them line by line.
some ideas:
-having a vertical scrolling where lines can scroll from bottom up in a specific area
-having a fade - in fade out effect instead of scrolling effect (+ a zoom effect)
-having a color gradient sweep where middle line is highlighted while scrolling
-having the facility to duplicate plugin in order to display 2 or 3 different texts with different colors & effects (mandatory)
-be able to pass several parameters by script (speed, color, etc ..), not only the preset number that implies to create dozens of presets.
-others to be defined
I am not familiar with SDK so i won’t go in the process of creating my own plugin.

I concur. These improvements (and more) would be beneficial.
