Sujet: Adding multiline comments to FLAC and M4A files
In the tag editor you can add multiline comments MP3 files (i.e., you could add)
```comment line 1,
comment line 2```
However, with FLAC and M4a files (and maybe others), you can only have a single line.
Is it possible to add multiline comments (or add multilines to any of the other metatags) on a FLAC or M4a file through the user interface?
If not, is there a way to programmatically do so, such as through a 3rd party software or plugin? I tested changing the comment area in the database xml file for a flac file and it seemed to allow a multiline comment without any issue.
Thanks in advance for the help!
Just following up,
I found out that you can get multiline comments into Virtual DJ using the tool Mp3tag and Extended tags,
but it is fairly roundabout. It seems like it would be really nice to be able to do the same for all files in Virtual DJ's tag editor
edit_comment
Thank you so much LocoDog,
that is definitely along the lines of what I am looking for.
If it is ok to ask one follow up question, `edit_comment` seems to be always editing the comment of the song loaded onto the deck. Is there a way to instead have it edit the song that is appearing in the info area?
Also, a note in case this helps anyone else in the future. If you click on the comment area in the info browser area, it allows you to add multiline comments on all songs (even though the edit window only allows single line edits for many songs).
