Hi !
Has anyone ever encountered a problem with VirtualDJ when loading a track, to the point where the computer restarts immediately ?
I've only encountered this problem with my laptop. I used the same tracks on my desktop computer and on a friend's laptop, and it worked fine.
What I don't understand is that my laptop has a brand new installation of Windows. I hear a mechanical noise when loading any track before the crash. It could be a hard drive problem, but I only have an SSD...
If anyone has ever encountered this problem, can you please help me understand what might be happening ?

If the entire computer restarts, then that's usually a drivers fault.
For starters I would suspect the GPU drivers as they are known to cause BSOD under certain conditions.
Also the fact that you hear mechanical noise could point at a temporary increase in fan speed on the GPU
Try to disable stems completely to see if the issue persists or not.
If disabling stems stops the restart, then the issue has definitely something to do with the GPU.
Try to update it's drivers as a first attempt.
Also try to run any GPU heavy task you can think of outside VirtualDJ. Your GPU could be faulty.
If disabling stems has no effect (laptop is still restarting) it could be something with the SSD, although it's far more less likely.

Hi PhantomDeejay, thank you for your answer :D You got it right, that's my GPU that causes the shutdown of my computer. I have completely disabled the stems, and it works perfectly now. I have also tried to use them without the GPU, and it works too. Now I can mix again with my laptop.
Thank you very much for your help <3
